Summary
Prof. Alírio Rodrigues, a Chemical Engineer from the University of Porto (1968) and Doctor of Engineering from the University of Nancy (1973), as well as an "Agregado" from IST (Lisbon), is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Porto and the founder of the LSRE laboratory. Throughout his career, he has held visiting professor positions at UT Compiègne, the University of Virginia, the University of Oviedo, and the Federal University of Ceará. His research focuses on cyclic adsorption/reaction processes, lignin valorization, perfume engineering, and microencapsulation. Notably, he has supervised 100 PhDs and published 800 papers, patents, and books.
